During the month of November and December, Bella Perla
Gallery will be presenting paintings by landscape artist,
Jamee Linton. Ms. Linton’s scenes combine memory,
emotion and reference, according to the artist, to ‘translate
the landscape into scenes that focus on color, balance,
and composition. This translation establishes a conversation
between the real and the ideal and is inspired by the
appreciation of beauty, emotional intensity, and nature
as a manifestation of the sublime.’
Linton works in both oil and acrylic in a variety of sizes.
Working from memory and pictorial references, she creates
images that focus on emotional response and captures the
essence of a particular view in lieu of an exact replication
of scenes.
